While reading Rick Steve's blog on his website today I laughed out loud about his previous entries on Italian bureaucracy! Although I don't request for film permits or anything of the sort that he is doing... it seems that EVERYONE in Italy in most any sector works like this! If you want to know one of the reasons I tell people I have a "LOve/Hate relationship with this country I live in go and read this! I usually have to remind others that I am not on vacation, I live here. I do agree that Italy is beautiful and has much to offer anyone to come and explore her borders but my life is not like the movies (oh how I wish it were!)!
