I forgot...

I know that months ago when I went public on the web with the news of our little #2 I had mentioned that we were going to be surprised on the birthday of our little one; however, a little while ago Giovanni talked me into opening the envelope that held the answer to the BIG Question! We are happy to share with your the exciting news that we will be welcoming a "little brother" as we are now calling him in about 2 months! (P.S. these images are from just before Christmas)

something new, well to some of you

What's new?? We are going to have a new little one arriving in March! I am about half way through the pregnancy and feeling great! Yesterday we got to take a peek at our "little" during an ultrasound! It was exciting!! Even Lottie was saying "baby, baby"! Gio and I are undecided about finding out what we will be welcoming into the world come spring, so I had the Dr write the BIG Answer down on an index card and seal it in an envelope, that way if we get really anxious we can open it up and know! Excitment is the best word to describe what we are feeling!

the verdict is in

I know so many of you are just anxious to know what we are having! Thanks to all of you who voted! Yesterday morning Giovanni and I went to have a gender check done and were really excited to see the little baby feet, hands, face (well profile), and as my sister in law Jennine says the privates! It took the tech a little bit of time to get our little one to cooperate... The first glimpse between the legs was with a little hand covering the identifying parts! How modest! With some nudging and pushing the hand moved and the tech pointed out the little GIRL parts! YES SHE is a GIRL!!!! We are very thrilled! I am also including a picture of myself taken Sunday! My belly is growing!

us for now

I know, still no pictures... and I need to post some too! Thanks to all of you! What great love and support we have! For those of you who have asked... I am fine! I dealt with nausea at first but the only "symptom" I have really had is the acid reflux, which is horrible with some foods and not too bad with others, I always carry some chewable Maloxx with me just for those occasions! Other then that all seems well! Before I left Italy Gio and I had the first ultrasound done and got to see our little Sicilian (then just a bean) and hear it's heart beat! It was very exciting for us! Gio got emotional! We have an appointment scheduled here on Aug. 4th for the gender check... although we are still trying to figure out if we want to know! Giovanni will be here LATe on the 25th for a few weeks!!!! YEA!!!
Also to answer some of your ?'s on where this little one will be born, well we are not yet sure! Most likely we will still be in Milan. There is a chance we could be in Paris.... but not too likely that we will be back to the states. I have decided to find DR.'s that speak both languages and trust them! What else can you do? It is more important that Gio and I are together for this experience then my selfish desires to be in the U.S.A. for the delivery (it should be a lot less money too)!
On another note: I have extended my ticket to stay in Utah until Aug. 9th. Gio will leave the 8th then we will head down to Sicily to visit his family and meet our new niece from Rome. As always we are on the go. Currently Gio is in Spain and will be traveling back to the states for work in September! Always a busy guy! We sure hope you are all enjoying your summer!
