a fun afternoon

so i am a day behind, but i did not want to post too many things yesterday! I got together with my friend Aaron again who is here doing makeup for Fashion week. We spent the afternoon shopping, eating crepes and just hanging out! While we were out and about we found the shop in the movie Ratatouille! I was Really Flabergasted to find out that the shop was REAL and not just in the imagination of someone who contributted to the film! Here is a picture of the Dead Rats hanging in the window. Some of you may remeber when Django, Remy’s father takes Remy to show him what humans do to Rats! The other pictures are Aaron and I savaging through belts at the thrift store, and my 2 dress finds!!!!

more fun

Us with Elisabeth and one of her six dogs Judith (our new friend! she stopped us on the street while we were looking at the map trying to locate Renoir's House and invited us for a drink, she used to be a model and lived in NYC for 4 years! What a life she has seen)! A painting of the Seine with E. tower in background, Any one know what time it is? Tuuileries Garden, little lake and these cool sailboats, Overcast day view from Concorde.

the past few days

Since I have been back from Utah things have been calm, but also seem like a whirlwind! We moved into a new apartment... Which I will post pictures of soon! It is a quite studio, and in a GREAT location! It has been a good change, especially for Giovanni! His sleep is precious! The craziness of his job has not changed much, he will be gone on an overnight trip tomorrow in London then Monday he will leave for the Bahamas! I kinda wish i could go! But I also know he wont be hanging out on the beach! Although it might do him good if he gets the chance to relax there! Voting for Expo happens March 31st and we are transitioning into "Crunch" time lobbing for the votes and trying to stay SANE!
Other then that I am still loving Paris! The city really transforms at night and I even find it charming in the rain!
Last week we meet up with Jacob Wilson. He is a fellow Milan Missionary alumni. He arrived to Italy shortly before I went home, now he is working in Milan as an inturn with a design company until April. The three of us had dinner last week while he was visiting Paris! It was fun and we ate a great french resturant not too far from the Effiel Tower!
I always enjoy spending those moments with Giovanni, I feel that I learn more about him!
( pictures: sushi anyone? they deliver, just like PIZZA!... APE Truck, us and Jacob, a cheese store, Sacre Coeur Cathedral)

I am back in Paris with my hubby after spending 10 days in Utah. It was great to be home, but also a little weird not to have granma around. I for sure felt her sweetness missing! Back to life here, Gio and I are moving into another apartment on Sunday. The one we are in now is above a piano bar and we really dont get any sleep! The first night back I could pick up the base line to a Phil Collins song from below and was singing along! Gio checked out the other apartment last week and gave it an OK! I think anything will be an improvement to the music from 11PM til 5AM or so!
Giovanni and I are looking forward to some sight seeing tomorrow! More pictures for sure to come!

Back in Paris- French anyone?

So to lighten the mood a little I thought I would add this funny little video about learning French! The tune is catchy! Now that I am back in Paris this could be helpful! Then again maybe only at the supermarket! (click on the title of this post, it will link you to the video).

My amazing grandmother Lova

Lova Beckstead Royce Allen
January 31, 1920- February 7, 2008

My sweet, gracious, kind, loving, elect and very thoughtful grandmother returned to the arms of our Heavenly Father this past week. She lived a great life, full of sincere kindness and joy! She was always thinking of others and striving to do what is right! I have enjoyed living with her for the past 15 years or so. She has made a tremendous impact on my life and I can only try each day to be as she is!
I have many sweet memories of her and am very grateful for the knowledge of the Plan of Happiness! I know I will see her again!
Yesterday was her funeral here in South Jordan, Utah. There were nearly all 28 grandchildren there to remember and honor her, as well as many of the great grandkids! I flew in last Friday (the 8th) and will be in Utah until the 19th.
Giovanni was unable to be with us due to work and a trip to New York, and we did miss him!
Things have been busy around the house as visitors and relatives have come to visit or to take care of grandma's things. It is late and I am tired. I have other things I would like to share, but will do it another time. I just wanted to let you all know what was going on with us! We love and appreciate all of your support!
